Just in time for the election

I've toyed with blogs before, but this is my first time creating one I actually intend for more people than a few close friends and family to read. I've become more and more interested in politics over the years, and the lack of a location on the web which really espouses my views has almost driven me into politics lately. I plan on not producing too much original content here, but simply responding to and, well, mostly Fisking posts and comments I see on the web.
My own views range from libertarian to conservative, with a heavy tilt towards libertarian. As the Republican party has drifted further and further away from conservative values to regressive social ones, my tenuous-at-best connection to the GOP has drifted as well. With Iraq and the current Congressional crop spinning out of control, I find it even more important to get involved. Somehow. Someway. This is my start.
